On June 15, 2024, Mississippi Mills held a memorial for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQTIA+ people, featuring The Canadian Library installation of 8,000 name-bearing books wrapped in Indigenous-designed fabrics.
