The Native Women’s Association of Canada’s toolkit addresses systemic inequities related to human trafficking and MMIWG2S+, calling for culturally relevant, trauma-informed, Indigenous-led approaches, safe housing, supportive services, and improved coordination between government departments and Indigenous communities, with recommendations for policymakers to establish Indigenous-led shelters and provide education and training.
