Systemic Inequities and Interjurisdictional Issues in Human Trafficking and MMIWG2S+
The Native Women’s Association of Canada’s toolkit addresses systemic inequities related to human trafficking and MMIWG2S+, calling for culturally relevant, trauma-informed, Indigenous-led approaches, safe housing, supportive services, and improved coordination between government departments and Indigenous communities, with recommendations for policymakers to establish Indigenous-led shelters and provide education and training.

Comprehensive Safety Community Plan
A response plan by the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society aimed at improving community response when Indigenous women and girls go missing in northeast British Columbia. The plan is a direct response to a 2016 Amnesty International report documenting the risks Indigenous women and girls face in northeast B.C., and Fort St. John in particular.

All Children Matter: Protecting Sacred Lives
Hosted by the Winnipeg Sexually Exploited Youth Community Coalition, this public forum heard recommendations and consultations on how Canadians can come together to bring an end to sexual trafficking. Highway of Tears Symposium
The symposium was a meeting held in 2006 that started with a walk from Prince Rupert to Prince George. Once at Prince George, victim’s families were able to come together and draft a 33-recommendation report.

#InUnity is a newspaper database by the University of Guelph on missing and murdered Indigenous women (MMIW). The database can be used as a learning and teaching resource for personal use or in the classroom.
