Memorial for Hilary Bonnell

A large stone memorial for Hilary Bonnell was unveiled in Esgenoôpetitj First Nation on October 4, 2023. The unveiling was preceded by a march to the site of the monument, followed by drumming, singing and speeches. The stone memorial also has the letters MMIWG carved into it, above Hilary’s engraved photo and name.
