On October 4, 2023, 100 people gathered at the Manitoba legislative building, demanding a search of the Prairie Green landfill for Morgan Harris and Marcedes Myran, with family members calling for justice.

On September 18, 2023, protesters in Terrace, BC, led by Gladys Radek, demanded the Manitoba government fund a search for three Indigenous women’s remains in a Winnipeg landfill.

During Heather Stefanson’s visit to St. Theresa Point First Nation, community members wore red to demand a search of the Prairie Green landfill for missing Indigenous women’s remains.

On July 1, 2020, a No More Stolen Sisters rally took place in Halifax, starting the Day of Rage rallies. The rally began with a water prayer, led by water protector Doreen Bernard.

About 200 people rallied in front of Regina’s legislative building to raise awareness and denounce the lack of progress on answering the recommendations and Calls for Justice from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the National Inquiry into MMIWG.

In 2020, a convoy marked the one-year anniversary of a report with over 200 recommendations on murdered and missing Indigenous women in Canada by traveling from Edmonton’s Borden Park to the Alberta Legislature, highlighting the lack of action since the report’s release.

This was a demonstration to call attention to missing and murdered Indigenous women that took place on July 1st, 2019, in Queen’s Park in Toronto. During the demonstration, a woman was put in handcuffs by Queen’s Park security guards. This incident was filmed by Nanook Gordon Fareal, who claims the woman was handcuffed for posting a sign with tape on a John A. MacDonald statue.
