The Highway of Tears Governing Body was formed as a result of the Highway of Tears Symposium Recommendations Report. They provide direction and support, and advocate to the Government to fulfill their commitment to implement those recommendations as well as the National Inquiry’s Calls for Justice.

Talk4Healing is a hotline for Indigenous women in violent and dangerous situations, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It provides accessible, free and culturally appropriate services, counselling and referrals across Ontario to the women who need it, and the services are available in many Indigenous languages. The hotline’s number is 1-855-554-HEAL.

This organization spans across most of Canada, and has the goal of assisting Indigenous men who are trying to leave the lifestyle of crime, violence, and addiction. They also provide mentoring, food and clothing, as well as peacekeeping services to events, functions and hostile environments.
