In this book, journalist Jessica McDiarmid investigates the cases of MMIWG on Highway 16, the devastating impacts of this tragedy, and loved ones’ fight for justice. She does so through interviews and an investigation of the causes of the tensions between settlers and Indigenous peoples in the region, linking the cases of MMIWG on the Highway of Tears to others across Canada.
