Families First: A Made in Manitoba Approach to Addressing the Issue of MMIWG

The Families First Foundation was initiated in May 2015 by the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs as a separate legal entity with its own Board of Directors, and was informed by engagement with Families, Elders, Youth and the MMIWG Coalition. The Foundation’s aim is to build awareness and raise funds for the issue of MMIWG by listening to the needs of their families.
