Comprehensive Safety Community Plan
A response plan by the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society aimed at improving community response when Indigenous women and girls go missing in northeast British Columbia. The plan is a direct response to a 2016 Amnesty International report documenting the risks Indigenous women and girls face in northeast B.C., and Fort St. John in particular.

It Starts With Us

Mikisew Cree First Nation Database

#InUnity Newspaper Database
#InUnity is a newspaper database by the University of Guelph on missing and murdered Indigenous women (MMIW). The database can be used as a learning and teaching resource for personal use or in the classroom. It is updated regularly with contemporary articles, and articles that include photographs and personal details of individual MMIW cases are intentionally not included to respect personal privacy.

I Stand #InUnity Project
I Stand #InUnity aimed to transform government statistics into embodied data to stimulate critical thought about MMIW and help better understand the scale of human loss in Indigenous communities. MMIWG2 Database
The MMIWG2 Database logs cases of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two spirit people, from 1900 to the present. It originally only included cases from the US and Canada, but starting in 2019 was expanded to include all Indigenous women, girls, and two spirit people. Access to the Database is available on an as-requested basis.
