On October 4, 2024, Stephanie English led her seventh annual 190-kilometer walk from Piikani Nation to Calgary to honour MMIWG, culminating at the ‘Sisters in Spirit’ rally.

Larissa Bear’s five-day walk from Portage la Prairie to Winnipeg aimed to raise awareness for MMIWG and culminated in a ceremony at The Forks on National Indigenous Peoples Day.

On May 29, 2024, the MMIW Awareness Walk took place at the Atoskewin Success Centre, including a BBQ at Library Park, featuring elders and speakers.

On May 5th, 2024, Qalipu First Nation in Corner Brook hosted a Red Dress Day gathering, featuring a walk, speeches, and a mural to honour MMIWG2S+ and advocate for justice and healing.

On May 5, 2024, Red Deer held a memorial walk for MMIWG2S, starting with a ceremony at the Common Ground Garden Project and ending at City Hall Park, featuring a pipe ceremony, drumming, singing, and red dress displays, with Lindsay Beaulieu from UAVS emphasizing the 231 Calls for Justice and the need for awareness of the ongoing crisis.

The Red Dress Day Walk in Vanderhoof is an annual memorial event organized by the Saik’uz First Nation to honour and raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.
