On October 4, 2024, Guelph hosted a Sisters in Spirit vigil in Royal City Park to honour and raise awareness for missing and murdered Indigenous women.

On October 4, 2024, a vigil to honour and raise awareness for MMIWG2S took place at Grandview Park in Vancouver, co-organized by community groups and supported by PSAC BC Vancouver Regional Women’s Committee. The event included bannock and performances, and attendees were encouraged to wear red and bring drums.

Montrealers participated in a march led by the Iskweu Project on October 4, 2024, to honour and demand justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, 2-Spirit, Trans, and Gender Diverse people.

On October 4, 2024, Mission hosted its annual Candlelight Vigil at Fraser River Heritage Park to honour and raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit individuals.

A Sisters in Spirit Day event in Fort McMurray to honour the memories of all the Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit+ Peoples across Canada, featuring a Pipe Ceremony, Sacred Fire, and Candlelight Vigil.

Every year in October, the Yukon Aboriginal Women Council holds a Sisters in Spirit Vigil and Walk and Red Dress Campaign in Whitehorse to honour MMIWG and their families, raise awareness, and call for accountability and an end to the violence.
