The Keepers of the Circle in New Liskeard hosted an event on October 4, 2024, featuring a healing ceremony led by Marilyn Chevrier Wills to honour MMIWG.

ONWA’s Annual Pow-Wow 2024 in Thunder Bay celebrates Indigenous culture and honours MMIWG through community gathering, traditional dances, and cultural activities.

The City of Pitt Meadows held a ceremony and walk in šxʷhék̓ʷnəs (Spirit Square) on May 5, 2024, featuring traditional drumming, dancing, and an art piece by q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie) First Nation artist Rain Pierre.

On May 5th, 2024, the Stettler Friendship Circle hosted a drum circle in West Stettler Park to honour MMIWG2S+ and raise awareness about the MMEIP crisis through ceremony and community gathering.

The MMIWG Honour Song Workshop by Native Child & Family Services of Toronto offers participants a chance to learn a tribute song dedicated to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

Calgary’s Aboriginal Friendship Centre hosted its first Red Dress Powwow, featuring specials themed around the Red Dress symbol to heal and remember MMIWG2S+.

The 2023 Sisters in Spirit National Annual Vigil in Saskatoon was hosted by IskwewukE-wichiwitochik and began at Civic Square with the handing out of posters, banners, SIS flags, buttons, balloons, and program. The event included prayers, the reading of a proclamation, the raising of a flag by families, guest speakers, and a drummers-led walk to the Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters.

The Piwapan Women’s Centre in Lac la Ronge, Saskatchewan, held a walk from the Lac la Ronge Indian Band Office to the Urban Reserve, followed by a meal of chili and bannock. The event, part of their Sisters in Spirit Vigil, allowed the community to honour those lost, grieve, and support one another.

A jingle dance was performed in Selkirk for justice and healing for MMIWG2S at the Sacred Spirits of Turtle Island amphitheatre, aiming to raise awareness.
