A ceremony on October 4, 2024, to commemorate the life of Mona Lee Wilson, also known as Running Bear, which took place on the Peachland waterfront at a tree planted in her memory. A red dress was placed at the tree, along with other items in her memory, and the ceremony included prayers, singing, drumming, and a speech.
