O’Hara managed missingnativewomen.ca, an online database for missing and murdered Indigenous women until her death in 2011, held annual memorial feasts, founded the Manitou Kwe Singers to raise awareness about violence, and served as the Toronto representative for Vanished Voices Never Again.
